Galway City Council are teaming up with Galway Cartoon Festival this year to bring everyone a very special parade with a difference.

We’re inviting you to submit drawings of the most amazing and fantastical St Patrick’s Day Parade participants you can think of- whether it’s you, your neighbour, St Patrick himself or a purple spotted alligator, get it down on paper, send in a photo and let us know why you made your choice!

We will then produce an animated parade featuring the characters that everyone sends in, all together in one big wacky procession – we hope you can find your character in the chaos! 

Please note that :

  • One or two characters are better than a whole group
  • They need to be drawn large on the page, facing the front
  • We must see the whole character
  • We won’t be able to use the background

Entries close on March 1st and the video will be streamed live on March 17th.

Agreement
